David Alan Wolters is a Michigan based commercial photographer specializing in photo illustration, environmental portraiture and architecture.
A native of Spring Lake, Michigan, David studied Commerical Photography and Marketing at world-renowned Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California before settling in Los Angeles and opening his first studio. An early adopter of digital photography is an understatement... in the early 90's he invented a digital camera that he used extensively to shoot catalog images before anyone knew what a digital camera was. As his family grew he and his wife Terri relocated back to Michigan where they reside today with their two sons and dog Roxie.
With unique vision, keen lighting and technical skills his images blur the line between reality and imagination.
His skill set and interests are broad and he believes that dabbling in adjacent fields enriches one's work. He is owner and chief creative of Wolters Advertising, a strategic branding and marketing agency.
Outside of work you will find David sailing, skiing, building something or working on his pet project, SailBot.
